Warrior Forum Posts: Bad Time To Start IM, A bit Overwhelmed, and Results vs. Logic

In addition to writing posts on this blog and other blogs, I frequently post on the Warrior Forum. Much of what I post relates to the content and purpose of this site: Education in Internet Marketing. So these posts are summaries of what was posted there.

Bad Time For A Noob To Start?

I would say as many here have that if you are driven and really make the effort, there are a lot of opportunities to make money online regardless of what google is doing or how things are changing.

That said, it isn't quite the wild west that it used to be and really, it is more difficult to build simple sites, rank them and make money off of them than it used to be – at least for beginners. Or maybe it's more involved and you need to be armed with more information.

On one hand it is imperative in IM that you focus on one thing at a time so you make consistent progress. On the other, diversifying is also key because you don't want to rely on only one thing. Who knows when it may be pulled out from under you!

The bottom line is just do it. Don't listen to what rhetoric and opinions, listen to and find facts and methods to follow that are solid and proven. They DO exist online and many of them are right here in this forum.

Like most things in life, I would say it mostly comes back to you (me/us).

Results vs. Logic

Yes and the irony of what you write is that I think a lot of the people who are making money oftentimes struggle with the ability to logically convey how or what they are doing. Generalization, yes. Truth in it, yes. Does it matter, no.

Even those with success who are able to articulate relative answers aren't able to guarantee anything. Someone with or without success may be able to explain the hell out of something, but that doesn't mean that someone listening can then repeat it or create it themselves, no matter how well it's been explained.

I love logic, explanations, and articulate reasoning, but things seem to always come back to action again and again.

A Bit Overwhelmed

Well, yes there are a ton of great resources on the WF for backlinking. Services, providers, threads, etc.

But instead of directly writing to your question, I am going to encourage you to also or equally focus on content creation (posts and pages).

With quality and proper keyword research, you should be able to generate hundreds of longtail keywords that you could write (or source) targeted articles and posts on. Use some sort of auto syndication plugin or service that auto creates 10 – 20 web 2.0 and/or social bookmarks every time you publish and you are well on your way.

A site with 50 + keyword targeted and SEO optimized articles is well on it's way to driving very good traffic with little or no SEO. A site with 500 is even better. Quality AND quantity ~
